YOU’RE A GOOD SPORT, CHARLIE BROWN RACES TO DVD JANUARY 27, 2009
The Emmy® Award-Winning Animated Peanuts Classic is Available in a Re-mastered Deluxe Edition with All-New Bonus Material

BURBANK, CA (November 19, 2008) -- Consumers will race to their local DVD retailer to be the first in line to own the Emmy® Award-winning Peanuts TV Special You’re a Good Sport, Charlie Brown: Deluxe Edition, which will be released for the first time on DVD in the U.S. by Warner Home Video (WHV) January 27, 2009. This special finds Charlie Brown, the famous sports failure, competing against Peppermint Patty and the Masked Marvel (alias Snoopy) in an exciting charity motocross race. The animated classic will be available in an eye-catching, newly re-mastered format featuring bonus material, including a new-to-DVD bonus episode. You’re a Good Sport, Charlie Brown: Deluxe Edition will retail for $19.98 SRP. Order due date has been set for December 23, 2008.

Start your engines! Its Motocross season and competing against the likes of Peppermint Patty and the Masked Marvel – aka a certain daredevil beagle named Snoopy – can intimidate anyone. But if Charlie Brown – tagged with unlucky number 13 – can keep the pace slow and steady (as well as hold onto his helmet), he might just win the race! It’s fast and furious fun right up through the finish line of this wonderful Emmy Award® winner as Outstanding Children’s Special, rolling out in a spit-shined re-mastered deluxe edition with improved picture and audio.

“We are delighted to bring this wonderful, animated special to DVD in a re-mastered format, now with richer visual and sound qualities,” said Amit Desai, WHV Vice President, Family, Animation and Sports Marketing. He added, “This title offers a great way for kids to learn about good sportsmanship and perseverance. It’s also incredibly funny, clever, touching and heartwarming. Kids and adults will want to add this award-winning animated classic to their home entertainment libraries.”

You’re a Good Sport, Charlie Brown first aired on CBS in 1975 and earned a prime time Emmy® Award for Outstanding Children’s Special.

DVD Special Features Include:
You’re the Greatest, Charlie Brown - A new-to-DVD bonus episode. Hard work and team spirit are what Charlie Brown needs for decathlon victory but this junior Olympian had better keep his eye on the track to win.

Dust Yourself Off and Pick Yourself Up, Charlie Brown – An original featurette that tells the story of how Charles Schulz’ son Craig and his life-long passion for dirt biking, served as an inspiration for his dad to include it in his famous comic strip.
